Our pumpkin patch is growing! We are so excited about all of the characters that are filling up our media center! It is not too late to bring in your pumpkin. #KBSPumpkinPatch





All of our 5th grade classes have visited the media center to strengthen their understanding of electricity and circuits. The students used collaborative partnerships to build with Snap Circuits, Jr. kits, which used lights, fans, and speakers.





Thank you to all of the families and community members who came to our Fall Festival on Friday evening! We had a great time!

Monroe County transportation department did a fantastic job going over the bus safety presentation with our KBS family!!! It was engaging, fun and informative!!! Thank you for putting a lot of work into this training! 🚌





Community-wide Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off is THIS Friday, October 21st at K.B. Sutton from 6pm-8pm! $5 per person entry fee (ages 4 and up) for games, inflatables, hay ride and more! Concessions, face painting and cake walk are not included in the price of admission.

Our PBIS plushy picnic lunch is tomorrow, October 7th, for students who have not received any behavior referrals this nine weeks. Students are invited to bring a stuffed animal, squish mallow or plushy as well as a towel or blanket for their picnic lunch tomorrow!


Join us tomorrow at KBS for our Annual Title 1 Meeting at 8:30am in the Parent Room or at 5:30pm in the Gym before our First Grade Folk Heroes Program at 6pm!

Today Mrs. Chapman visited each classroom to distribute the book, The Magical Yet. Each month Mrs. Chapman will select a book to give to classrooms for students and teachers to enjoy. This title was chosen as The Principal's Book of the Month because it demonstrates of our monthly core value, grit.

The online learning application window is now open for the spring semester of the 2022-2023 school year for students in grades 3-12. This is an 18 week commitment and students must have regular access to the Internet to qualify. All virtual students must complete a new application for the spring semester.
