K parents, we still need a few things for Friday's lunch - if you are able to help, please sign up in the link emailed to you or by scanning the QR code. Thanks for helping to support and encourage our staff thru these lunches! #tgscottelementary #stafflunch

Students are reminded to be 100% quiet at all railroad crossings. The bus driver must be able to hear if a train is approaching. #bussafety week #dailystudentsafetyreminder #tgscottelementary #thankabusdriver

TGS Parents, report cards and the Title 1 School-Parent Compact were sent home on Thursday, October 19. Please sign the report card as well as the last page of the compact and return both to school as soon as possible. We appreciate your prompt attention to this. #tgscott

When riding the bus, for your safety, be sure to sit facing forward with your back against the back of the seat and bottom against the bottom of the seat. Remain seated at all times, keep the aisle clear, and follow the bus driver’s directions. #schoolbussafetyweek #tgscott

TRUNK OR TREAT/ SILENT AUCTION
FOOD •PRIZES •MORE!
6:00-8:00PM FREE EVENT
MONROE COUNTY FINE ARTS CENTER
(a donation box will be set up in the TGS lobby for candy donations - the Special Olympics committee would love any & all help to support the event & thanks you in advance!)

In the morning, be sure to wait at least 12 feet off of the roadway (if possible) when waiting for the bus to arrive. If you have to cross the street to board the bus, always wait until the bus arrives. Do not attempt to cross until the bus has stopped, the stop arm is extended, and all other vehicles have stopped.

The Danger Zone is the 12 foot area that surrounds a stopped school bus where the bus driver might not see you or where cars might be moving when you are getting on and off the school bus. Always stay away from the danger zone and in your bus driver’s direct view. If you drop something while getting on or off the bus, do not attempt to pick it up until you get the bus driver’s attention.

Please plan to join us tomorrow night for Family Science Night! It's sure to be WILD fun with games and activities and more! And, thanks to our generous sponsors, Mid GA Cleaning Systems and SportClips, for helping to make it possible. We appreciate your support of our students!

We are so thankful for the team of bus drivers who serve the students of TGS so well. The dedication and love they have for the students is obvious in the way they care for the kids on their routes, and we enjoyed treating them to a special breakfast today as a thank you! #tgs

In the mornings, make sure to arrive at your bus stop at least 5 minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive. Remember, if you miss the bus, never chase after it or go to another bus stop; instead, return home and have someone call the school or the Transportation Department.

A highlight of the 5th grade DC trip is always the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington National Cemetery’s most iconic memorial. This year, Mary Ryan Bunt (TGS) and McKinley Sims (HES) had the honor of laying a wreath. Elijah Veal, HES,
Liam Cotton, KBS, also participated.
